Under the Table Early Beta Complete!

It’s big news time – I have finally reached a stage with Under the Table where it’s in a complete playable state! The game now includes:

  • 60,000+ words of story/dialogue text
  • 1,022 images
  • 14 mini animations
  • Many paths to doom!

I’ve been doing some mass editing of the images and videos to give them a bit more depth and polish, as this preview hopefully shows. Some of them have come out a little inconsistent so there’s plenty of work to be done yet to iron it all out, but I’m satisfied that this early version mostly works.

So, time to settle a basic release plan:

  • Today, I’ll be sharing the early beta, v0.5, with all active Patreon and SubscribeStar subscribers with over $30 total spend, via DM (doing it this way to ensure subscribers who’ve been with me at least a couple of months; I want to start sharing/testing it, but it’s not ready enough to make available to everyone)
  • I’ll tidy the game up over the coming weeks, including fixing errors; improving images; working on the sounds and potentially adding a little extra content
  • Mid-late April, I’ll release a final beta for Tier 4 ($25) subscribers
  • I’ll allow a couple of weeks for extra testing, and produce a demo by the end of April
  • I’ll also be trying in the meantime to get a mobile version working
  • The final, complete game should be released for subscribers and publicly in early May

In the meantime, I’m also going to try and put together a few trailers, as well as complete Bikini Kaiju, but I’ve got a ton of work over the next two weeks.

I’m also going to tidy up my Patreon/Subscriber accounts to adjust for these game/animation releases, making the tiers a little clearer and potentially starting to cycle out content. (On this note, I’m only going to make max two games available to subscribers at a time, so if you want the existing ones make sure to get them before we switch things up.)

That’s all for now – excited to finally be looking towards finishing this game!
